Station 4 Opens

At 1900 hours tonight, June 2, 2023 the first crew moved into our newest fire station. The Waterstone Fire and EMS station will serve as our fourth fire station strategically located to provide for better response times to emergencies by reducing the travel distance and locating in an area that has less traffic congestion. Open House and Station #4 Opening Ceremony
Orange Rural Fire Department, May 25
June will be a busy month with a couple of great opportunities for you to come visit the fire stations in Hillsborough.
The first option is to attend the Station #4 dedication and grand opening on June 4th from 1pm to 3pm. Station #4 is inside the Waterstone development and located at 352 College Park Road in Hillsborough. This will be a joint event with Orange County EMS as the station serves both ... Busy Sunday Night for B-Shift

At 01:01 hours on Monday May 22nd, B-Shift was dispatched to a Confined Space/Structural Collapse at 327 St. Mary's Road in Hillsborough. Within five minutes, Engine 231 was on scene and confirmed that a tree had broken off about twenty feet above the ground and fallen on a house leaving two people trapped inside. MVC on I85 at MM 163 Southbound

At 0418 hours this morning, C-Shift was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 85 near mile marker 163. Initial calls to 911 stated that a vehicle had jumped the guardrail and landed in the woods. Within in four minutes, Engine 231 was on scene with a vehicle off the roadway and approximately 40 feet down an embankment.
