The Fire Chief at Orange Grove Fire Department and his wife have both been diagnosed with cancer and are undergoing treatment. Chief Baker comes from several generations of emergency responders here in Orange County and needs our help.
The Sherriff has set up an account and started a fund raising effort to help Chief Baker and his wife with the medical expenses of the treatments and medical needs.

At 0741, Orange Rural Fire was dispatched to 2308 Lonnie Circle for a report of smoke coming from a residence. Engine 234 arrived on scene to find a working fire at the location. A quick fire attack was started and a search for occupants was completed. The fire was quickly extinguished and is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Marshal’s Office and NC State Bureau of Investigation.
