Recent wet weather resulted in flooding and errosion where we typically haven't seen in recent years. As we look for more secluded places to build our homes we find that we have to bridge creeks and low lying areas in order to access our home sites. New Fire Station Bids

We are working to add a fire station in the southern portion of Hillsborough that will improve coverage and response times for the fire district south of town as well as the southern parts of Hillsborough.
Over the last two years we've been working to obtain land and design a facility that will become the fourth fire station for our department.

No Caption Highland Woods Structure Fire 27 May

At 0226 this morning, B-Shift was dispatched for a reported structure fire at 1707 Highwoods Loop Road in Hillsborough. Upon arrival crews found the front porch of the mobile home heavily involved in fire. A quick knockdown of the fire limited the fire damage to mostly the front of the structure. Cheshire Drive Structure Fire 22 May

At 0323 this morning, A-Shift responded to a reported structure fire with persons trapped at 200 Cheshire Drive, Building 23. Upon arrival, crews found an apartment unit on fire. Upon entering the structure, they located a burn victim. The victim was transferred to EMS while a primary search of the rest of the structure was being completed.

No Caption Holden and Miller Families Make Donation

On Tuesday May 4th, the Holden family and Miller family visited the fire station to make a donation of $11,000 to the fire department's training budget. The money will be used to fund upcoming Trench Rescue training for the department as well as all other fire and rescue departments that respond in Orange County.
