Lindsey Woods Structure Fire 22 August

At 13:12 hours this afternoon, B-Shift was dispatched to a reported structure fire at 3716 Lindsey Woods Road. Upon dispatch, Chief 201 reported seeing a large column of black smoke that was visible from Hillsborough. The first fire unit was on scene within 5 minutes of dispatch and reported finding a single family residence, fully involved in fire. Engine 231 arrived on scene and deployed multiple ... TR Debbie Update
Orange Rural Fire Department, August 08
Several roads around the fire district have significant amounts of standing water. We're responding to trees down, roads blocked, trees on houses and power lines down. Since 3am, we've responded to 20 incidents. IF you must go out, allow extra time for travel and drive slow. It looks like we'll see some significant rainfall amounts from TS Debbie. Forecasts this morning are predicting 6-10 inches of rainfall that will start arriving later this evening as the outer bands of the storm reach our area. Often times when somebody starts a fire, someone calls 911 to report the fire. When 911 gets the call, they usually dispatch the local fire department to go out and extinguish the fire. Unfortunately, many of the fire departments in our state are non-profit incorporated agencies working under contracts with cities and counties to extinguish fires and therefore have no legal authority to enforce open ...
