Saturday, June 11th marks the 54th year since the official organization of Orange Rural Fire Department. The firefighters are celebrating by holding an "open house" from 9a-3p at the main fire station in downtown Hillsborough.
Events for the day will include equipment displays and demonstrations, a firefighter game for children and a food truck. Firefighters will be on hand to answer questions and show off their equipment and some of thier capabilities.
We urge everyone to come out and meet some of the firefighters and see what it takes to answer the calls for help in our community.

Parking will be available in the town lot as well as the parking deck behind Weaver Street Market.
