At 14:52 hours this afternoon, B-Shift was dispatched to a reported structure fire on Lannie Drive. Engine 231 arrived on scene just over three minutes after dispatch to find a double wide mobile home with a significant amount of smoke and flames visible around the front porch and living room. Crews searched the building for occupants and found none. An aggressive fire attack from B-Shift crews quickly extinguished the majority of the fire. Crews searched for and extinguished hot spots under the home, under the porch and in the floor system of the building. Fans were set up to clear the smoke and to help locate any smoldering hot spots. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Orange County Fire Marshal. We want to thank Eno, New Hope and Efland for their assistance on this response.
