At 1900 hours tonight, June 2, 2023 the first crew moved into our newest fire station. The Waterstone Fire and EMS station will serve as our fourth fire station strategically located to provide for better response times to emergencies by reducing the travel distance and locating in an area that has less traffic congestion.
Travel distances and response delays caused by traffic congestion can make a difference in the survival chances of someone that is trapped or injured and needing rescue or medical care.
Insurance companies also use travel distances to the nearest fire station to establish risk factors for higher fire losses. Generally, homes within five road miles of a fire station will see a reduction in insurance premiums.

Station 4 will house a fire engine and a medical response vehicle on the fire department side along with the crew needed to staff those vehicles.
There is a planned dedication ceremony and open house at the Waterstone Fire and EMS station on Sunday June 3rd from 1-3pm. We invite everyone to come join us in the dedication and to tour our newest facility.
