Today was a great day for us. Many community members and family came out to join us in opening our fourth fire station. Now that Station 4 is open, it's time to get back to celebrating the official birth day of Orange Rural Fire Department and what better way to celebrate than to host a department open house!. On June 11, 1968 Orange Rural Fire Department was officially registered with the State of North Carolina. Last year we held a fire department open house event at our main station on Churton Street in downtown Hillsborough and it was a big success so we are doing it again this year. Come on out next Saturday, June 10th and help us celebrate our department birthday a little early. There will be trucks and equipment to see, firefighter live demonstrations and a firefighter game for the kids and those that are just young at heart. We also have Cilantro food truck joining us at 11am with some amazing Mexican street food. The open house runs from 9am to 4pm on Saturday June 10th at our main fire station located at 206 S. Churton Street in Hillsborough. Parking in downtown is always a challenge so plan to park in the parking deck near the fire station. We hope to see more family and friends next Saturday!
