Plan Now for Fall

High winds associated with the storms that passed through on Tuesday left a lot downed trees and brush behind. Without intervention, those downed trees and brush will lead to a higher risk of spreading a grass or woods fire this fall as people start to burn leaves. We urge everyone to consider the longer term impacts of allowing storm damaged trees to remain around homes and near access roads. The great folks at the National Fire Protection Association offer some guidance on how to protect your homes and businesses from wildland fires.

We ask that anyone tasked with cleaning up and clearing trees and our residents visit this web site using the QR code to learn more about creating a defensible space around homes and other structures so that our community remains fire safe.
