We will be hosting training for the rest of the fire departments with response areas inside of Orange County this coming Saturday (April 20). The training will occur near the intersection of NC Highway 57 and Schley Road north of Hillsborough.
There'll be an increase in fire trucks in the area starting a little before 8am Saturday and continuing until around 4pm.
Near mid day, we will be burning a house that's been donated as part of the training. Passerby's may notice smoke and flames that will be visible from both NC Highway 57 and Schley Road.
Fire apparatus should have a minimal impact on traffic during the training.
