All of our units have cleared and returned to their stations to start the clean up process Davis Road, Orange Grove Road and several smaller roads in those areas have been cleared of downed trees so they are passable. If you must go out, please use caution as Piedmont Electric Line Crews are working the clear their lines and get the power back on. It's going to be a long night for many. We've had several homes destroyed by downed trees and winds. The recovery from this storm will take longer for many families.
Remember, never assume a power line or tree contacting a power line is safe to touch, saw, pull or move. Electricity seeks the path of least resistance and we make pretty good conductors but the results are deadly.
