| The Annual Hog Day Barbecue festival is this weekend in downtown Hillsborough. The event starts with a concert from 6-10 on Friday night. The concert and barbecue cooking is in the area between East Margarette Lane and the Eno River. The fun continues starting at 10 am Saturday with all-day concerts, food and craft vendors, and some of the best pork barbecue you can find.
Anyone wishing to attend the festivities is urged to park in the deck next to Weaver Street Market or one of the town lots west of Churton Street. Visitors are urged to leave room for emergency vehicle access when stopping or parking their vehicles on or near streets and parking lot entrances. Everyone is urged to come out to the festival, but if festivals aren't your thing, then we urge you to come downtown and shop our local stores and eateries. If none of this interests you, then you may want to avoid downtown as the people and vehicle traffic will be increased during the festival.
Stay safe, and we hope to see you Friday and Saturday in beautiful downtown Hillsborough! |
