On August 13, 2018 we responded to a Trench Rescue call in Efland. After returning to the station and placing the equipment back in service, our personnel found Assistant Chief Jeff Holden unresponsive. His friends and coworkers worked tirelessly to try and revive him. Chief Holden died in the Line of Duty after leading the rescue in Efland. Not a day goes by that we don't see the impacts he had on our department and we are forever grateful for all he did for us and the community. We are grateful for the continued relationship we have with his family and for their continued support of the department. We would give anything to have him back and we take comfort in knowing that we are honoring his memory by continuing to carry on his legacy.
Stan my friend, we miss you everyday.
